[The gardens seem like a likely place to find something unusual, and Yukio's carefully poking around, lifting leaves and looking under vines.

He's pretty absorbed in his task, but his daemon's in her small dog form, watching for people.]

[Kim's walking in the gardens, accompanied by Cecile in the form of a skua, who hops from perch to perch. He stops when he sees Yukio, regarding him with a curious look.]

Not exactly. [Yukio says, turning with a friendly smile.]

But it seems like we should be doing more investigating than we are, if we want to get anywhere.

True. And there have been valuable finds in unexpected places...

It wouldn't be surprising if someone buried something important here.

And unless they're very different from what I'm used to, some of these plants are medicinal.

[He adjusts his glasses, squinting at the plants.]

Do you know how to make use of them?

I believe so. I'll have to run some tests to make sure that they're the same before I start suggesting them to people.

[voltadomar]

That would be a great help. Our medical supply situation is... frankly, not looking good.

I have some bandages I made from old clothing, and some painkillers, but I haven't been able to find anything else. Thankfully so far we haven't needed as many medical supplies as I was expecting.

[voltadomar]

Good.

I was able to acquire some surgical tools, in case they become necessary. For treatments... or for body examinations. I'm starting to run low on bandages and antibiotic gel, though.

Have you asked the Watchers for anything? I've heard they're able to supply things if we request them specifically.

[voltadomar]

[He nods.] I asked them for a scalpel and forceps. The task was easy enough.

How about you?

Not exactly. One of them offered me something, and I accepted.

I know my brother requested something from one of them.

What task did you have to complete?

[voltadomar]

I was asked to help someone with "something they're struggling with."

That does seem easy enough, but time consuming enough that you aren't likely to have the chance to ask for multiple favors in quick succession.

[voltadomar]

Agreed. It seems like a good idea to stock up in advance, rather than wait for an emergency.

Though it looks like we're starting to get a sense for the "schedule" these emergencies run on.

This entire place seems to run on a schedule. It's unusual.
